: The Multimedia Communications Lab at Boston University is pleased to announce their new homepage and the release of their MPEG-I system level encoder-decoder for Unix systems. Binary versions of the player are available for SunOS4.1.1, Indy-Irix5.2 and Linux systems. The encoder takes existing MPEG-I audio and video streams and interleaves them into a single system layer stream (video with audio). The player atempts to playout these streams in realtime. The encoder supports up to 16 video streams interleaved with up to 32 stereo audio streams. More documentation is available with the distribution. (nwn)
